Introducing: Obadiah Parker

You know how it is with technology, almost anything is possible. I bet in a few years' time, we'd be able to wire our brain to our computers and have the best sex without ever the need of a real human partner. That'd be the day, but also quite a disturbing thought. It's almost three in the morning, cut me some slack. Anyway, through the miracle of Myspace and YouTube, a lot of bands these days have been discovered and brought out into the daylight, something which might not have been possible a few years ago. Lily Allen was discovered by her record company after posting the song that she wrote "Smile" on her Myspace page. The same thing can be said about Alison Sudol from A Fine Frenzy and Terra Naomi, who wrote the monster hit on YouTube, "Say it's Possible". Anyway, here's another band that has benefited from the exposures over the Internet, all thanks to the great acoustic cover they did of Outkasts' "Hey Ya".

Other than "Hey Ya", the band also covered "Idioteque" by Radiohead and "Who Is It" by Bjork recently on their live album. But that is not to say that this band thrives solely on covers, their own materials are incredibly good as well. Do check them out over at iTunes, they are really really good despite the lack of good looking band members. But who cares, everybody loves a fat guitarist, like Kyle from Tenacious D. There is just something appealing about a big guy doing something that'd normally be done by somebody skinny, and that is not to mention the crazy beard Matt Weddle has on his face.
