Sarah's Impression

The thing I like about Sarah's artwork is that they are not showy. I do not claim to be an artistic person when it comes to paintings and drawings, sketches and statues. To me, no matter how much a person tries to convince me the brilliance of Picasso, I don't think I'd ever see it in his paintings. The usage of colors, the textures, the expression, whatever. To me, art exists in movies, music and books. When it comes to the frames of a painting, I can tell between what I like and what I dislike - and that's pretty much it. I mean, claiming that I am the kind of person who would visit art galleries in my own free time would make me sound like a rather cultured person, and it might even make me a little more desirable amongst the members of the opposite sex. But I'd rather not be hypocritical, or pretentious in any way.

Anyway, I was on Sarah's artworks. I think they are cute in a non-pinkish way, if you know what I mean. I find them delightful, and they are the kind of work you would expect to see in a children's book, or on the walls of a kindergarten classroom. Not to say that they are childish, it's just that in relative to my own works of supposed art, her stuff can really brighten up your day, one way or another. Imagine seeing my blog entries on the walls of kindergarten classrooms. The children might start slashing their wrists with penknives. Not a beautiful sight.

Anyway, here's a little thing Sarah drew for me, of me. I think it is disgustingly cute, and there is a female version of herself on her blog if you guys are interested. For now, here's me. Without my glasses, and shocked. For some reason. Thanks Sarah, you're a wonderful friend.
