Even the butcher has the right to know not the weight of the piece of pork he's selling.Even the technician can be troubled by some technical problem with your broken television.Even the lawyer can not know some of the laws in your country, especially a country such as Singapore with incredibly ridiculous ones(I still find the banning of chewing gums hilarious).

So us,as citizens, people living in Singapore,of course we have the right to...NOT know some of the laws.Does that make it okay, for us to break the law?I mean, isnt there a chinese saying that goes something like "The ill-informed is innocent" in English,or something along that line of translation?

I just found out, that i have been breaking the law for the past sixteen years.Of course, that is assuming that the law was implemented before the year i came to Singapore.I was oblivious to the law in cars, the fact that you have to put seat belts even when you are in the back of the car.I mean,i KNOW that putting those on at the front is a must, but i never knew that the same law applies for passengers behind as well. And that fact, was told to me by Corinna today when she took a ride in my mom's Lexus home after a movie(Which was by the way, incredible).

Doesnt that make me a sort of outlaw?Like, breaking the law every single time i get into the backseat of a car?The next time i try to get a job at some company, and if asked if i was ever in jail or committed any crimes,if i am honest enough i think i would say "I have been breaking the law and getting away with it for the past twenty years".It's good to be an outlaw,it's kinda cool isnt it?I mean, people root for outlaws all the time. They root for Danny Ocean,Jesse James,Tony Montana, right?

Anyway, besides the fact that i have been breaking the law for the past twenty years,i also found out that for people under the height of 150,however,are allowed to be in the backseat without the seat belts. That is because people under that height might get choked in the event of a car accident, when the passengers flies forward and stuff.I didnt know that, either.Things you are deprived of being tall.Sigh.

Oh yes,and you get to watch a movie for free if you are under 0.9m too, like the bus.I only got to know that, today. How ill-informed can i get.Call me slow, but it is better than never,eh?
