A heads up.
Live Earth is the name for a series of concerts of pop and rock music planned to take place on Saturday July 7, 2007 to promote action to confront global climate change. The umbrella organization for the event is a new global movement under the name Save Our Selves (SOS). The intention is to present seven concerts on the same day - one concert on each of Earth's seven continents.
The concerts will be broadcast live on television (NBC in the United States, BBC in Europe and also local stations from each continent), radio, and on the Internet via media sponsor MSN over 24 hours. Organizers have stated a goal of reaching an audience of over two billion.
