Invisible

It was like a mirage, the way the tall buildings on either side of the street, the cars moving and stopping, moving and stopping on the busy road, the people of different sizes, laughing and chattering, exchanging unwanted warmth with each other on this blazing Saturday afternoon. The blurred, and they seemed as if they were drifting away into the sky above, clouded with a grey fog lingering between the hot steaming office walls.

I was in the station, sweating like a pig.I swear,at the rate i was sweating,by the time i reach town i would seize to exist entirely.I thought i heard a puddle of water on the ground,as i stepped out of the station into the burning tiled walkway.Thank God for trees,i murmured to myself as i made my way to Kinokuniya.Hot days like today, definitely not good for any serious shopping outdoors.I seeked shelter, and most of all the best invention by mankind: Air-Conditioning.

So it shouldnt come as a surprise, when Invis and I decided to meet up at the Coffee Bean outside of Borders. Not the one outdoors, but rather the one outside the music section on the other side of Wheelock's.She lost her way as she made her way there, and i had to give directions for her to get here, which was rather strange but at the same time, amusing.

That little coffee talk was great, spent over two cups of Mocha Ice-Blend and a shared Mudpie, which tasted like mud literally, only sweeter. You wouldnt expect two person, meeting the first time,to speak so much bullshit and random topics. But we pulled it off fine this afternoon, under the giant glass roof on top surrounded by people and holy mother of God - Air-Conditioning.

That was followed by aimless walking down the streets of Orchard.Strangely enough,i met a hell lot of people along the streets today,a rather astounding number as compared to the average people i meet usually.Saw the pathetic James selling some stuff to poor customers at the McDonald's outside Lido.Saw Jian Lin a little distance away, sitting apparently with a bunch of his army friends under the shade of the umbrella. As mentioned in the previous entry i met Loh Ming Yen at Kino,RuiYi YET AGAIN with her boyfriend(Stop following me.Stop haunting my steps.Stop haunting me.Or i am calling the police).Spotted Mr.Wong and his wife along the street in front of Lucky Plaza, but he ignored my greeting just like that,as he strolled on down with his usual attire: Blue shirt and black pants.Oh,and not to forget LiPing and she got out of the train at Orchard with a friend of hers. What's with the coincidences,i wonder.

Paragon looked rather appealing as a refuge camp of sorts, and the both of us darted in and got ourselves comfortable at Delifrance, pretending to be customers after a heavy meal, but in truth refugees running away from the blazing hot sun.The waitor sort of found out we werent there for food,so i ordered an orange juice anyway.Great, that's four dollars down the Delifrance drain.

Speaking with her was a wonderful experience.I mean,i remember the first time i met up with...well,yeah.For some strange reason, the both of them were looking for me the first time we met.And for both occasions,my line was "You found me".Rather strange, nostalgic in a way.

Hearing the day spent with her ex at Bugis was rather amusing.I mean, think about you.You are a guy who just broke up with your girlfriend not too long ago. After a few weeks you guys decide to have lunch, and the place you bring her to is a food court? That's rather unromantic of you, dude.Besides, you dont bring her to Sim Lim to buy some computer parts with you,and going to Cold Storage to grab a drink is just so Singaporean and so uncle-ish.

Anyway, enough of bitching about this man i've never met.I had a wonderful afternoon thanks to my dear friend Invisible. You owe me a cup of coffee the next time we happen to meet each other again.Hopefully, the weather wouldnt be so fucked up like today's,and perhaps the next time we meet the both of us would be happier, much happier than the state we were in today.I swear,if we talked any longer we couldve killed each other on the spot with forks from Coffee Bean.Haha.
