Two Golden Gramophones
Best Male Pop Vocal Performance: Waiting on the World to Change, John Mayer
Best Pop Vocal Album: Continuum, John Mayer
Two out of five gramophones for tonight, that's not too bad for you Mr. John Mayer. As much as I had my fingers crossed for the Album of the Year category which was taken away by the Dixie Chicks, like you said it yourself, they deserved the award much more than yourself. But anyway, even without that one, you are still a great musician in your very own rights. That brings the grand total of Grammys that you have received over the years to five(One for Your Body is a Wonderland and two for Daughters), that's quite an achievement considering the fact that you are merely 29 years old.
Your performance with John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae was amazing, though I was hoping for a longer solo like one of your concerts. But I guess there is a limit to how much you can do at award ceremonies, and you should have seen the way Justin Timberlake's face twitched when you won that award over him. It was as if he totally didn't expect you to win that award. But I guess, in an award show, there is always a camera pointing at you, even when you pick your nose or a single hair moves on your head. Good on you my guitar hero, don't sell out. Keep your music real and true.
It's about time you make your way down to Asia for real John, there is more to Asia than Tokyo Japan! Any price for a night out at your concert, just make the announcement.
Ryan Seacrest owned by John Mayer on the red carpet. The Japanese translates to," She is very beautiful, and you are the last to know." Seacrest's a dickhead.
And the Grammy goes to...
